This afternoon, we were informed that the union membership voted to accept our Return to Work Agreement and will return beginning March 7, 2022.
What were the options?
Employees voted between two options provided by the Company, and as we were informed by the union, chose the second option:
- Option 1: Paid vacation for all scheduled shifts March 1-6, 2022; return on March 7th; earlier health insurance availability
- Option 2: Return on March 7th; health insurance available beginning April 1st for all employees, with no exceptions
What does this mean for me?
Employees will return to work beginning March 7, 2022, with their exact date of return depending on their normally scheduled shift. Vacation will not be paid for the week prior.
Consistent with standard plan rules, employees will become eligible for insurance beginning April 1, 2022. Employees will remain eligible for COBRA coverage through the month of March.

A supervisor will be reaching out to you directly over the coming days with details specific to your return. Employees should look for more details regarding benefits and programs through home-mailers next week. We will also continue to provide information through postings at www.embeaumont.com.
