On Monday, February 21, after over a year of bargaining, the Union notified us that their members have ratified the Company’s offer. We are thrilled by this news and look forward to welcoming our locked-out employees back to work as soon as possible.

What does this mean?

The Company and union have agreed to the terms of an updated contractual bargaining agreement (CBA), retroactively effective February 1, 2021. This means the CBA is immediately in effect and the agreed to changes will be implemented upon employees’ return.

Most importantly, this also means the lockout will end and employees will be returned to work as soon as safely possible.

When do we return?

Employees’ return to work will be governed by the Return to Work (RTW) Agreement bargained between the Company and  union. As we mentioned previously, we have already begun meeting with the union to bargain return to work terms in order to reach an agreement as quickly as possible. As of tonight, the Company has not received a signed RTW Agreement from the union, but we will endeavor to reach an agreement and return employees to work as soon as possible.

How do I get more details?

As we have more information on return to work, we will inform employees directly, as well as through postings at www.embeaumont.com.
