Re: USW 75 Day Advanced Strike Notification
As you may already be aware, since January 31, the United Steelworkers Local 13-243 has refused to bring the Company’s last, best, and final offer to our employees for a ratification vote. Yesterday, the Company’s offer expired without our represented-employees having been afforded the opportunity to formally accept or reject the Company’s offer. Furthermore, at approximately 8:00 PM yesterday, the Union issued a 75-Day Strike Notice to the Company (included below).
The Company then issued to the Union a 75-Day Notice of an April 30, 2021 Lockout.
Additionally, the Company has not agreed to an extension of the expired collective bargaining agreement as the Union stated in the below strike notice. The site has been operating without a contract since February 1.
